DEXCOM G7 LATEST

29 July 2022

Dexcom have announced that the G7 rollout in the USA has been delayed following questions from the FDA and subsequent need for changes to the system's software relating to alerts and alarms. Dexcom are now anticipating a limited launch late in 2022 and a wider launch in 2023.

Dexcom received a CE mark for the European market in March 2022.

SUPPORT FOR YOUNG PEOPLE ANNOUNCED

JDRF and DigiBete are to partner up to support young people living with type 1 diabetes. The partnership will enable the organisations to pool resources and co-create information about a broad range of subjects from daily management to nutrition and wellbeing aimed at young people.

ANOTHER CGM! GLUCOMEN DAY ON PRESCRIPTION SOON

Another CGM will be available on the NHS in England. It's been revealed that the GlucoMen Day CGM will be rolled out on prescription from September 2022.

We will have a review of this CGM very soon...

DEXCOM ONE ON PRESCRIPTION

4th July 2022

Partha Kar, Diabetes Specialist Advisor for the NHS, has this morning confirmed that Dexcom ONE is about to be available for prescription on the NHS. Probably from August 2022.

FIRST GIANT ANTEATER KNOWN TO HAVE TYPE 1 DIABETES GETS CGM!

Edinburgh Zoo have reported that Nala, one of their Giant Anteaters, has been fitted with a Dexcom to monitor glucose levels following a type1 diagnosis.
