A new CGM launches in February in the UK.
The CareSens Air CGM is about to launch in the UK. It has a15-day wear time, with readings delivered directly to a smartphone (either Android or iPhone) every 5 minutes. The CareSens Air sensor is an all-in-one device with an applicator for simple attachment, similar to a Libre 2 applicator. It's approved for adults, from 18 years old. The MARD (relating to accuracy) is stated as 12.2%.
The CGM is manufactured by iSens in South Korea, and is being marketed by Spirit Health in the UK. The online cost is currently £31.87.

According to prescription data, the UK CGM market is currently dominated by Freestyle Libre (made by Abbott), which accounts for 95 per cent of sales, with Dexcom holding a 4 per cent share. |
