Dexband G7 CGM Armbands

Our concept for Libreband is based on transforming a sensor from a medical device to sports-style accessory. 

Librebands are manufactured in the UK with injection moulded ABS plastic which gives a durable high-quality finish, not like products made from 3D home-printers.

The straps are skin-friendly, made from neoprene for a comfortable fit with a slider for size adjustment.

Librebands are durable and can be taken on and off as much as you like, unlike tape, plasters and patches.

Yes, you can easily scan through the cover, just as it can scan through clothing. Wearing a Love My Libre armband does not affect the performance of a sensor/cgm, or the ability to scan to get glucose levels.

Wearing a Libreband or Dexband will help to protect a sensor from the friction caused by swimming and being in water, such as in a hot tub.

Love My Libre customers include competitive athletes, who have worn our armbands for swimming and water activities and have found it helpful for protection and in giving them confidence in water whilst wearing a sensor, especially when doing so for an extended period.

CGM armbands vary considerably in their design, materials and level of protection. Some are simply elastic straps worn over the sensor with no protective cover at all. While these can help keep a sensor in place, they offer little protection from knocks, bumps or pressure on the sensor itself.

Where a cover is included, the design can differ significantly. Many lower-cost products use 3D-printed covers, which may show visible print lines, rougher edges or variations in finish. Others use moulded covers designed to provide a smoother and more consistent finish.

Strap materials can also affect comfort. Elastic straps often need to be worn relatively tight to keep the sensor secure. Neoprene straps are generally wider and more supportive, meaning they do not usually need to be worn as tightly to provide protection.

Durability, appearance, adjustability and overall comfort can vary considerably between products. For some users, a lower-cost option may be perfectly suitable. For others, differences in comfort, finish and long-term wear become more noticeable through everyday use than they do in product photographs.

The measurements for our armbands are based on upper arm circumference, so customers are advised to measure around the part of the arm where the sensor is going to be positioned – you can use a tape measure or alternatively, a piece of string and ruler. 

Small: 20 - 30cm

Medium: 25 - 45cm

Large: 40 - 55cm

Smaller sizes and child sizes are available on request and there’s no extra charge for these.

It’s best to loosely fasten the armband and then slide it up the arm and gently position over the sensor, then adjust the strap and secure with the Velcro.

It may help to get assistance the first time, but it is also possible to put this on yourself.

The armbands sold by Love My Libre can be washed in lukewarm water. Add a little liquid soap if needed, but avoid rubbing the neoprene. The strap will usually air-dry in around 20 minutes.

Tip - to speed up drying roll in a towel before air-drying.
